Therapeutic Massage in the Hudson Valley

Every massage is unique and crafted specifically to the client's needs/wants. Within each massage, a variety of modalities are used. Some of the modalities integrated into each session are:

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage has great benefits that include, increasing circulation, relaxation and waste product removal. Swedish uses flowing strokes and compressions to allow the client to slip into a place of relaxation, where the highest potential healing can happen energetically and physically.

Neuromuscular Therapy (Trigger Point)

By definition, neuromuscular therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. Through different manipulations, this modality supports the nervous system in releasing areas of tension.

Energy Palpation

Energy Palpation brings an awareness of the whole person to the massage. This supports the client's energetic space and allowing them to relax into their body, where further specific work can be done to a greater effect.

Connective Tissue Therapy

Connective Tissue Therapy sinks deep into the body's fascial layers and glides slowly through the tissue, breaking up adhesions and allowing muscles to let go of tension.

Kinesthetic Awareness of Movement (KAM)

KAM is a term used to describe your awareness of your own body. The receptors in your muscles keep your brain informed of body movement, position, tension, and how you feel at any moment. We use different passive movements to wake up these receptors and elevate the body's awareness of itself and its ability to move and break free of muscle and movement patterns.
